Street Lights Inventory

It is very common for the local government agencies to rely on the lights inventory maintained by the local electrical company ( SCE). In such situations, the electric company would provide upon request, a list of lights within the agency boundary. These lights are billed by the electric company, based on the above-mentioned list.

Many agencies are taking ownership of the street lights inventory or at least, they want to verify the list of lights ( to make sure they are paying for the correct street lights). We have completed a few projects like this. We would start with the list provided by the electric company and verify location of each light along with some attributes ( pole material, wattage, fixture type). The outcome: more accurate inventory and billing ( sometimes lights included in the list are outside of agency’s boundary).
